How We Serve

crockerpatientThe Clinic’s employees, volunteers and Board members are firm believers in our mission to provide compassionate health care to those in need. We recognize that many low-income adults in Beaufort County are served though government programs, such as Medicaid, Medicare and insurance subsidies under the Affordable Care Act.  However, we know that many are not eligible for any of these programs.  We are particularly concerned about those who do not qualify for Medicaid and who are also ineligible for subsidies under the Affordable Care Act because their household incomes are too low.  In northern Beaufort County, adults (ages 18-64) with household incomes under 100% of the Federal Poverty Level who do not qualify for Medicaid have no local source of free primary medical care other than the Clinic.

We are focusing our outreach activities to ensure that these residents know where to find the Clinic and how to access our services, and we operate our clinical program to meet their needs.
