Volunteer Opportunities

Some of our volunteer opportunities are listed below.  Please email, call or fill out our online application if you are interested in learning more. Some of these opportunities may be available from time to time, depending on current needs.  Licensing, credentialing, and privileging may be required. Training will be provided to volunteers who are accepted for placement.  We welcome your interest!


Clinical Positions

crocker2Providers:  Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants provide primary health care and some specialty health care services, including chronic disease management.  Current license (may be SC volunteer license) and privileging required.
Registered Nurses:  Provide nursing services in medical clinic; including patient advocacy & health education.  Manage clinic flow, provide initial screening, nurse visits & care coordination.  Current nursing license required (may be SC volunteer license).
Prescription Program Assistant:  Prepare prescription assistance applications, maintain electronic records, and process prescription assistance program paperwork.


Non-clinical Positions

GivesFront Desk Representative:  Greet patients, maintain electronic appointment schedule, assist with patient reminder phone calls, organize patient charts for providers, and assist in maintaining medical records.

Administrative/Clerical Support:  Assist with data entry (Word, Excel, and/or Practice Fusion software), filing, mailings, medical records maintenance, patient reminder phone calls, and scheduling.

PR/Social Media and Charitable Giving Site Maintenance:  Assist in writing and placing press releases and maintain current information on social media and charitable giving sites (e.g., Clinic website, Facebook, Twitter, The Giving Marketplace).

Building Maintenance:  Provide advice and assistance with building maintenance, including HVAC filter replacement and other routine and special maintenance issues.
Outreach VolunteersHelp maintain supplies at churches, food banks, and other agencies that distribute our information to prospective patients.  Make presentations at interested organizations to spread the word about our service.
