Coastal Community Foundation  of South Carolina partnered with Good Neighbor Free Medical Clinic of Beaufort to encourage support for local charities on May 6, 2014, as part of the Foundation’s “Lift the Lowcountry” campaign of South Carolina Gives Day. This campaign was organized as part of a national giving day sponsored by community foundations across the country. The most significant part of this event for us was that the first $10,000 in donations made to the Clinic on May 6th were matched, dollar for dollar, by an anonymous donor working through Coastal Community Foundation!

 This year’s Lift the Lowcountry campaign raised $35,205 for the Clinic – much more than the Clinic has raised in any previous fundraising effort. We are very grateful to Coastal Community Foundation for the opportunity to participate in this event and to all of our old and new friends who supported the Clinic with donations on May 6th.
